Andrew Mongue is a PhD candidate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, studying reproductive biology in butterflies and moths. He uses his study organisms to teach insect biology and inspire a love of natural science in communities in eastern Kansas. In particular, he is cultivating an ongoing partnership with the Girl Scouts of the area to bring more STEM education to elementary and middle school girls.
